EMERGENCY (PRINCIPAL) REGULATIONS (DISCONTINUANCE) (NO. 2) ORDER 1970.
lo exercise of the powers conferred by regulation 137 of the Emergency (Principal) Regulations, the Governor has made the following order-
1. This order may be cited as the Emergency (Principal) Citation. Regulations (Discontinuance) (No. 2) Order 1970.
2. The operation of regulation 136 of the Emergency (Principal) Regulations is discontinued.

Under the amendment made to by-law 1d of the principal by-laws by by-law 3 of these by-laws, a licensee of a funeral parlour who believes that any body on the premises is that of a person who has died while suffering from a quarantinable discase is now required to notify the super- visor or deputy supervisor of cemeteries and crematoria or an assistant supervisor, in addition to a health officer or health inspector.
2. Under the amendment effected by by-law 4, the supervisor, deputy supervisor and assistant supervisors are empowered to inspect the registers which are required to be kept in funeral parlours.
3. The opportunity is also taken to make a consequential amendment to the definition of "funeral parlour" in the principal by-laws following the amendments made to the Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Maternity Homes Registration Ordinance.

Regulation 2 discontinues the operation of regulation 136 of the
Emergency (Principal) Regulations. Regulation 136, which contains general penalties, is not required as none of the Emergency (Principal) Regulations creating an offence is in force.
