DUTIABLE COMMODITIES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1970,
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance, the Governor in Council bas made the following regulations—
1. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Dutiable Commodities (Amendment) Regulations 1970.
(2) Regulation 23, paragraph (<) of regulation 24 and regula. tion 25 shall come into operation on the day appointed under subsection (2) of section 1 of the Dutiable Commodities (Amend- ment) Ordinance 1970 for the commencement of certain provisions thereof.
1. Regulation 2 of the principal regulations is amended-
(a)
in paragraph (1), by deleting "and, where applicable, the periods of validity of such licences and permits,”; and
(8) by inserting, after paragraph (2), the following new
paragraphs-
"(3) The fee payable for a licence granted under regulation 27A for a period less than one year shall be a proportion of the annual fee payable for such licence and for this purpose a part of a month shall count as a whole month.
(4) In Part II of the Schedule, the terms "bar". "etub liquor licence", "liquor licence" and "tem- porary liquor licence" have the same meanings as in the Dutiable Commodities (Liquor) Regulations 1970.".
3. Regulation 5 of the principal regulations is amended, in sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph (a), by deleting "imported from Kwong Tung".
4. Regulation 6 of the principal regulations is amended, in paragraph (1), by deleting "Containers" and substituting the following-
"Except with the special permission of the Director, containers".
