Amendment.

(2) A police officer to whom an authorization is issued under subsection (1), and any other police officer acting under his direction, may—

(e) eater, by force it necessary, the place specified in the authorization and search the same:

(6) arrest any person found in such place; (c) search any person found in such place;

and

(d) seize and detain-

( all cards, dies, balls, counters, tables, lottery tickets, betting slips and other implements or appliances of gaming or gambling found in such place or on any person found thereint

(ii) any thing found in such place or on any person found therein which may be used as a card, dice, ball, counter, table, lottery ticket or other implement or appliance of gaming or gambling:

(iii) any money or security for money which is being used for the purpose of gaming, gambling or belting in such place or is found on the keeper of such place.

(3) No female shall be rearched under this section except by a fernale.

(4) Anything scized under paragraph (d) of subsection (2) shall, on conviction of the keeper of such place for an offence under section 6, be forfeited by the court”.

(2) Section 17 is amended by deleting "the officer entering the same under a warrant issued under this Ordinance, or in The presence of any assistants by whom he may be accom- panied as aforesaid; and it shall be lawful for the magistrate before whom any person may be taken by virtue of the war- rant to direct all such implements of gaming or gambling and betting slips to be forfeited or destroyed" and substituting the following-

"any police officer who has entered such place under section 16".

(3) Section 18 is repcaled and replaced by the following- 18. Any person who obstructs a police officer

in the excrcise of the powers conferred on him by section 15 or 16 shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine of two thousand dollars or to imprisonment for six months.””.

(4) Section 19 is amended by deleting "Where any police officer authorized under section 16 to enter any place is wilfully prevented from or obstructed or delayed in entering the same

or any part thereof, or where any external or interval door of or means of access to any such place so authorized to be entered is found to be fitted or provided with any bolt, bar, chain, or any means or contrivance for the purpose of prevent- ing, delaying or obstructing the entry into the same or any part thereof of any officer authorized as aforesaid, or for giving" and substituting the following-

"Where the entry of a police officer to any place under section 16 is obstracted, or any external or internal door of or means of access to any place entered under that section is found to be fitted or provided with any boll, bar or chain, or any meant or contrivance, for the purpose of obstructing or giving".

(5) Section 20 is amended in subsection (1)} by-

(a) deleling "in pursuance of and substituting the

following-

"under":

(b) deleting "preventing, obstructing or delaying the entry into Buch place or any part thereof of any officer authorized as aforesaid" and substituting the following

"obstructing the entry of any police officer to such place under section 16"; and

(c) deleling "acts" and substituting the following—

"act".

(6) The Schedule is amended by deleting the form of warrant and substituting the following-

"Form of AUTHORIZATION UNDER SECTION 16.

Section 13 is amended by inserting the following after "justice of the peace”-

"or before the Commissioner of Priscos, the Deputy Commissioner of Prisons or a senior superintendent or superintendent of prisons".
