(c) the management and operation of slaughterhouses, including the exclusion or removal of persons there- from:
(d) the control of the admission of animals to slaughter-
houses;
(e) the control of animals in slaughterhouses;
(f) the examination, inspection and marking of animals
intended for slaughter;
(g) the methods, instruments and appliances which may
be used when slaughtering is carried out;
(M) the inspection and marking as fit for human con- sumption of the carcases and offals of animals slaughtered in slaughterhouses and restriction of the use of such marks;
() the disposal, treatment. and processing of waste matters, refuse and by-products resulting from the slaughter of animals or birds in slaughterhouses;
() control of the transport of carcases, parts of car- cases, and offals from any slaughterhouse to any other place:
(k) in the case of public slaughterhouses—
(i) the payment of fees or charges for the use of any slaughterhouse or for the use of any services provided therein or in connexion therewith;
(ii) the persons by whom all or any of the activi- lies of any slaughterhouse may be carried on;
(iii) registration of owners of animals to be slaughtered;
(iv) the time within which animals shall be slaughtered;
(v) the conferring on public officers or any public body of power to detain animals or carcases, to direct the slaughter of animals and to dispose of animals and the carcases and other parts of animals; (vi) the maintenance of good order in slaughter- houses;
(/) in the case of private slaughterhouses-
(i) the registration, licensing or prohibition thereof, and fees or charges in connexion with such registra- tion or licensing;

(ii) requirements as to construction, lighting, ven- tilation and drainage, and as to the periodic painting or limewashing, of the premises or any parts thereof; and
(iii) the control of fees or charges levied for the use of any such slaughterhouse or for the use of any facilities provided thereat.".
This printed impression has been carefully compared by me with the Bill which passed the Legislative Council on the 10th day of April, 1968, and is found by me to be a true and correctly printed copy of the said Bill.
