FACTORIES AND INDUSTRIAL UNDERTAKINGS (FIRST AID IN REGISTRABLE WORKPLACES) REGULATIONS 1968.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance, the Commis- sioner of Labour has made the following regulations—
1. (1) These regulations may be cited as the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (First Aid in Registrable Workplaces) Regulations 1968.
(2) Regulation S shall come into operation on the 1st day of October 1969.
2 (1) In these regulations, unless the context otherwise requires→→→
"person trained in first aid" means a person who-
(a) holds a current certificate of competency in first aid
issued by the St. John Ambulance Association: or
(6) is a registered nurse within the meaning of the Nurses
Registration Ordinance,
and, coil the 1st day of July 1970, also means a person who holds a certificate of competency in first aid issued by the St. John Ambulance Association at any time after the 1st day of October 1959,
(2) For the purposes of these regulations, the number of persons employed in a registrable workplace shall be taken to be the number of persons actually working therein at any time.
3. (f) In any registrable workplace, there shall be provided and maintained therein by the proprietor so as to be readily accessible a separate first aid box or cupboard for each one hundred persons or part thereof employed therein.
(2) Each first aid box or cupboard shall be of adequate capacity and shall contain the items specified in the Schedule and any additional items required under sub-paragraph (2), (5) or (c) of paragraph (3).
