ROAD TRAFFIC ORDINANCE. (Chapter 220).

ROAD TRAFFIC (TAXIS, PUBLIC OMNIBUSES AND PUBLIC CARS) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1967.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Road Traffic Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the follow- ing regulations----

1. These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Taxis, Public Omnibuses and Public Cars) (Amendment) Regu- lations 1967,

Regulation 18 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting paragraph (1) and substituting therefor the following-

"(1) Every taximeter shall be so constructed that it may be effectually scaled to the satisfaction of the Authority.”.

Ammendment of

Regulation 22 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph (1) and substituting regulation 22. therefor the following-

"(c) if the taxi is neither hired nor available for hire-

(i) the flag is placed in the non-recording posi- tion in such manner that it is not visible outside the taxi: or

(b) the flag is covered in such manner that it is not visible outside the taxi.”

4. The Third Schedule to the principal regulations is

Amendment of

amended by deleting paragraph (iii) of item 5 and substituting Third Schedule. therefor the following-

"(iii) For every hiring involving crossing the harbour by vehicular ferry, including the vehicular ferry charges for the taxi, driver and all passengers for both crossings
