An Ordinance to make provision for the appointment and duties of a coroner, for the duties of medical officers in connexion with dead bodies and for matters relating to coroners inquiries. and to make consequential amendments to other enactments.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1.

This Ordinance may be cited as the Coroners Ordinance 1967 and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by

the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Short title and COMITIENcement.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- Interpretation.

"bospital" includes a nursing home;

"inquiry" means any inquiry into the death of any person held by

a coroner, with or without a jury, under this Ordinance;
