An Ordinance to repeal and replace the Commonwealth Preference

(Motor Vehicles) Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Commonwealth Preference (Motor Vehicles) Ordinance 1967, and shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in the Gazette.

Short title and commencement

2 (0) In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise Interpretation. requires

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Police;

"first registration" means first registration in accordance with the provisions of regulations made under the Road Traffic Ordin-

auce;

"motor vehicle" means any mechanically propelled vehicle in- tended or adapted for use on roads but does not include any conveyance for use solely on railways or tramways;
