(b) section of the Ordinance providos that the Schedule
thereto may be varied at any time, with the consent of the Company by Resolution of the Legislative Council;
(e) it is now desired that the Schedule to the Ordinance
be varied to provide for the operation by the Company of one furthur forry sorrice, nancly a vehicular ferry serviço between North Point and Kowloon City; (a) the Company has consented to the amendment of the
Schedule to provide for such service:
Now, therefore, be it resolved, with the consent of the Company,
that the Schedule to the Ordinance be amended
(a) by the insertion, after paragraph 1, of the following
new paragraph
Vehicular Terry service,
14. The Company shall, until the 26th January, 1980, conduct a ferry service for the conveyance of vehicles, goods being carried by vehicles and persons travelling in vehicles on the "ferry rm" specifisä in Appendix I at item (t).";
(b) by the deletion of sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 3
and the substitution therefor of the following ·
"(1) The Company shall pay as pior rent to the Government for the use of the piars specified in this paragraph the total em of $68,900.00 a 2onth inclusive of rates. The said rent ahall be payablo in advance on the first day of each month and shall be apportioned among the piers as follows

5B. the Company shall pay to the Government, for the exclusive right to maintain and operate a ferry service for the conveyance of vehicles, goods being carried by vehicles and persons travelling in vehicles between North Point and Kowloon City, in addition to the pier ront in accordance with paragraph 3 and the royalty of twenty-five per cent of the net profit of the Company in accordance with paragraph 5, a monthly fee of $100,000.00 payable in advance on or before the first day of each month.";
"(4) The Company has represented that the Company is and will continue to be a public company; that tho Company shall take such stops as are reasonablo in congultation with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange to have and to continue to have the shares of the Company listed and quoted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; that the majority of the directorato aro and will continue to be British subjects; that the management and the administrative staff, or an effective majority thereof to the satisfaction of the Governor in Council, are and will be British subjects; that the control is and vill bu viṭhan the Colony and assuntially British; that all the books and accounts of the Company will be kept in the Dnglish language; that at all times and in all circumstances (including any and every morgoney) the Government may be assured that the ferry servicen vill bo duly and loyally maintained; and that the situation as above vill continue and be observed with the utmost good faith during the subsistance of the Donoeseion. Such repres-ntation shall be the basis upon which the. Company may maintain thu forry sarvicos and if at any time the Governor in Council be satisfied that any such representation as aforesaið haa fallod then the Governor in Council may terminato the concession, in which ovent the furry services shall be deemed to have been discontinued and the provisions of sub-paragraplis (2) and (3) of paragraph 8 shall apply.";
