11. The registration officer shall, between the 1st day of November and the 16th day of November (inclusive) in the year 1966 and between the 1st day of August and the 16th day of August (inclusive) in the year 1968 and in each alternate year thereafter publish at least once in the Gazette and at least once in at least one English language daily news- paper and in at least one Chinese language daily newspaper each circulating in the Colony a notice of the provisional register in accordance with Form 4 in the Schedule.

12. The provisional register shall be available for inspection free of charge at the address stipulated in the notice published under regulation 11 in respect thereof between the hours of 9 am, and 1 p.m. on every week-day, not being a general holiday, and between the hours of 2 p.m. and 5 p.. on every week-day, not being a general holiday or a Saturday, up to and including the last day of the month in which the notice of that provisional register was published, or, if that day is a general holiday, then up to and including the next following day that is not a general boliday.

DISTUTED DECISIONS,

13. (1) Any person-

(a)

whose name does not appear on a provisional register and who considers that he is entitled to be registered as an elector may apply to have his name placed on the final register, by lodging a notice of application in accordance with Form 5 in the Schedule:

(b) who considers that any other person whose name appears on a provisional register is not entitled to be registered as an elector may object to the inclusion of such name in the fiual register by lodging a notice of objection in accordance with Form 6 in the Schedule:

(c) whose name appears on a provisional register and who com siders that he has special grounds for voting at a polling station other than the one at which on the provisional register be is registered to vote may, by lodging a notice of change of polling station in accordance with Form 7 in the Schedule in which shall be stated his grounds therefor, apply to have his entitle- ment to vote transferred to another polling station, to be named in the application.

(2) Notice of application for inclusion in the final register and notices of objection and of change of polling station under paragraph (1) shall be lodged with the registration officer at any time during the period commencing on the date of publication of the notice of the provisional register under regulation II and ending on the last day of the month in which such notice of the provisional register was published as afore-

said or, if the last day of that month is a general holiday, then ending on the next following day that is not a general holiday; and every notice of application for inclusion in the final register shall be lodged by the hand of the person applying for inclusion in such register and in no other way.

(3) The registration officer in his discretion may call upon any person lodging a notice of application for inclusion in the final register to identify himself by such means as the registration officer considera expedient.

(4) The registration officer shall make available at his office, free of charge, supplies of forms referred to in this regulation, and the forms of notice of application for inclusion in the final register shall be avail- able together with lists such as are required under paragraph (2) of regulation 6 in the case of forus of application for inclusion in the provisional register.

(5) Any person applying to have his name placed on the final register under this regulation who knowingly and wilfully makes or signs the declaration in the notice of application therefor which is untrue in any material particular shall be guilty of an offence and shall be lable on summary conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months,

14. Notices of application for inclusion in the final register and Inspection notices of objection (including notices of objection under regulation 15) of notices of applica shall be made available for inspection in the registration officer's office den and during business hours until the 10th day of September (inclusive) of objection. the year in which such notices were lodged, or if that day is a general holiday, then until the next day that is not a general holiday:

Provided that all such notices as aforesaid that are lodged in the year 1966 shall be made available for inspection as aforesaid until the 10th day of December 1966 (inclusive), or if that day is a general holiday, then until the next day that is not a general holiday.

15. Provided that a notice of objection under this regulation to an application made in the year 1965 may be lodged on or before the 10th day of December 1966 or, if that day is a general holiday, then on or before the next day that is not a general holiday.
