district in substitution for the place designated in accordance with this sub-paragraph, and shall publish notice of such designation in the Gazerte and in at least one English language newspaper and in at least one Chinese language newspaper sach circulating in the Colony within such time limit.

(2) A list of such polling stations and a map or maps indicating the boundaries of each electoral district shall be available for inspection at the office of the registration officer at all times thereafter.

FORM OF REGISTER.

4. (1) The register shall be divided into the same number of separate parts as there are electoral districts and each part shall specify the electoral district in respect of which it has been compiled and the polling station designated for that electoral district, and shall contain the names of each elector whose residential address as specified on the register is within that electoral district or, who, in the case of a final register, has applied to have his entitlement to vote transferred to that polling station and whose application has been allowed by the revising officer.

(2) (2) Each part of the registor shall be arranged by reference lo the streets and roads in the electoral district in respect of which it has been compiled and the names listed under each street and road shall be arranged in alphabetical order of the English version of the surnames and, where there is more thart one elector of the same surname, of the fore-names unless, by reason of the existence of un-named streets or roads, the agglomeration of residential buildings, un-numbered, incom- plete or inadequate numbering of buildings or any similar circumstances rendering compliance with the foregoing provi- sions of this sub-paragraph impracticable or unjustifiably in- convenient, the registration officer determines for any part of the register that the names shall be listed in alphabetical order as aforesaid but without reference to streets or roads, or that the names shall be arranged partly in one way and partly in the other.

(b) In the case of a final register, each part of the register shall end with a list of the persons (if any) who have applied to have their entitlement to vote transferred from one polling station to the polling station designated for the electoral district in respect of which that part of the register has been compiled and whose applications have been allowed by the revising officer, and shall be arranged in alphabetical order of the English version of the surnames and, where there is more than one elector of the same surname, of the fore-names.

(3) The entry in relation to each person on the register shall contain the following particulars---

(a) electoral number in numerical order in each part of the register, prefixed by a letter denoting the particular polling station at which such person may vote:

(b) the letter M or F denoting the sex of the clector: (c) the identity card number of the elector;

(d) the surname and fore-names of the elector in English or, if there are more than two fore-names, the first fore-name and the initial letters of the other fore-names, which shall be the same as appear on the elector's identity card;

(e) the surname and fore-names of the elector in Chinese charac- ters if Chinese, which shall be the same as appear on the elector's identity card;

(f) the residential address of the elector:

(g) a reference to-

(1) paragraph (2) of subsection (1) of section 15 of the Ordinance, in the case of an elector registered on the register pursuant to that provision: or

() in the case of any other clector, the paragraph of sub- section (2) of the aforesaid section under which he is registered on that register.

(4) Save and except for the names in Chinese the register shall be prepared only in English.

(5) The provisional register and the final register shall be in such form, consistent with the requirements of this regulation, as the registra- tion officer considers to be convenient.

(6) The omission from any entry in the register of any of the particulars specified in paragraph (3) shall not disqualify or debar the elector from voting at an election.

5. (1) On application by an elector or by a person applying to Corrections be registered as an elector whose name does not appear in Chinese on in registers. his identity card, the registration officer may add to the entry in respect of such elector or person his name in Chinese, but the registration officer shall not be required to consider any such application if received after the details respecting the entry concerned have been supplied to the printer for printing, and, as regards a final register, no such addition shall in any case be made after the publication of such register..

(2) On the application of any elector or on notice to any elector, the registration officer may correct any incorrect entry in the register or delete the entry in the register in relation to a person whose name
