Order VI.
(a)
Revocation
Rule 7 of Order VI of the principal rules is amended- by being renumbered as paragraph (1); and
(b) by the insertion of the following new paragraph—
"(2) Wherever a writ is amended after service, then for the purposes of paragraph (1) the amended document shall, unless the court directs otherwise, be served person- ally on the opposite party.".
7. Order XV of the principal rules is amended by the revocation and replace of rule 13 and the replacement therefor of the following new rule-

limited time,
13.. (1) Every judgment made in any cause or matter requiring any person to do an act thereby ordered shall state the time, or the time after service of the judgment, within which the act is to be done.
(2) A copy of the judgment shall, unless rule 20 of Order VII applies or the court or a judge otherwise orders, be served personally on the person required to obey the same and there shall be endorsed thereon a memorandum in the words or to the effect following-
"If you, the within mentioned C.D., neglect to obey this judgment by the time therein limited, you will be liable to process of execution for the purpose of com- pelling you to obey the said judgment.””
Rule 37 of Order XVII of the principal rules is amended- in paragraph (1), by the deletion of "delivered to or served" and the substitution therefor of the following-

10. Rule 78 of Order XVII of the principal rules is amended by Amendment the insertion, after "served", of the following-
"personally".

11. Rule 8 of Order XX of the principal rules is amended by Amendment the insertion, after paragraph (2), of the following new paragraph-
“(2A) An application under paragraph (2) for leave to issue execution against a person shall be by summons which shall be served personally on the person against whom the application ja made.".
12. Rule I of Order XXII is revoked.

Service of defendant in
"ORDER XXXII, SERVICE OF DOCUMENTS.
1. (1) Any document which by virtue of these rules is required to be served on any person need not be served personally unless the document is one which by an express provision of these rules or by order of the court is required to be so served.
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not affect the power of the court under any of these rules to dispense with the require- ment for personal service.
2. Personal service of a document is affected by leaving a copy of the document with the person to be served and, if so requested by him at the time when it is left, showing him-
(a) in the case where the document is a writ or other
originating process, the original; and
(b) in any other case, the original or office copy.

Personal service of a document on body cor- porate may, in cases for which provision is not otherwise made by any enactment, be effected by serving it in accord- ance with rule 2 on the chairman or president of the body, or the clerk, secretary, treasurer or other similar officer thereof.
4. (1) Where in any proceedings a document is public service. required to be served personally on any person who is in the service of the Government, the Registrar may transmit an office copy of the document to be served to the head of
