Note: These fees cover the inspection of markings, the change of name on the load line certi- feate, and on the Suez and Panama certi- ficates, and, in the case of ships holding pas- scoger certificates, the issue of fresh passenger certificates showing the new name and any alterations in the ownership and port of registry. The fee also covers the change of name on safety certificates, safety equipment certificates, safely radio certificates, or exemp- tion certificates and also the issue of amended Suez Canal and Pacama Canal certificates.

Fees for new vessels being measured abroad for tonnage and registry purposes by a surveyor acting under the guidance of the Ship Surveys Division Hong Kong will be equal to twice the tonnage fest at paragraph 1 of this beading, and will cover the examination of plans, correspondence and the issue of certificates. These fees will be halved in the cas of sister ships.
