2 Fees for survey of ships detained because they are

alleged to be Unseaworthy-

(a) For the survey of a ship which is detained (other than upon the complaint of the crew) on account of overloading, improper loading, insufficient ventilation of coal cargoes, under- manning, or defective equipments (such as chronometera or charts, etc)-

(8) For the survey of a ship which is detained (other than upon the complaint of the crew) on account of defective bull or machinery——

In the case of a ship of--

(1) under 500 tons

(10) 500 tons and under 750 tons

(ii) 750 tous and under 1,000 tons

(iv) 1,000 tons and above, for every addi-

tional 500 tona .........

Note: The fees prescribed in paragraphs 2(a) and 2(6) are payable when a ship is finally detained of when it appears that a ship under provisional detention was unsafe at the in- ception of such detention.

(e) For the survey of a ship upon the complaint

of the crew
