Validation of 1953 regulations.

Validation of 1955 and 1957 regula- tions.

(1) The directions numbered 2 to 12 inclusive of the direc- tions published in the Gazette dated the 16th day of January 1948, as Notification Number A.21 and intituled the Air Navigation (Fees) Dir- ections 1948 shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed for all pur- poses to have had the full force and effect of law from the 1st day of February 1948 to the 31st day of March 1953 and, for the purposes of section 10 of the Interpretation Ordinance, to have then been cancelled.

(2) Without limiting or derogating from the provisions of sub- saction (1), every act and thing which purported to be done, or suffered or omitted to be done, under and pursuant to the provisions of any of the said directions and which would have been validly done, or validly suffered or omitted to be done, if the said directions had been law at the time are hereby validated.

(3) Any word or expression in the said directions to which a meaning was assigned by the Air Navigation (Colonies, Protectorates and Mandated Territories) Order 1927 shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed to have had the meaning so assigned thereto.

3. (1) The regulations numbered 3, 4 and 5 of the regulations published in the Gazerre dated the 27th day of February 1953 as Noui- fication Number A.46 and intituled the Air Navigation (Fees) Regula- tions 1953 shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed for all purposes to bave had the full force and effect of law from the 1st day of April 1959 to the 31st day of August 1955 and, for the purposes of section 10 of the Interpretation Ordinance, to have then been revoked.

(2) Without limiting or derogating from the provisions of sub- section (1), every act and thing which purported to be done, or suffered or omitted to be done, under and pursuant to the provisions of any of the said regulations and which would have been validly done, or validly suffered or omitted to be done, if the said regulations had been law at the time are hereby validated.

(3) Any word or expression in the said regulations to which a meaning was assigned by the Colonial Air Navigation Order 1949 shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed to have had the meaning so assigned thereto.

4. (1) Subject to subsection (2), the regulations published in the Gazette dated the 26th day of August 1955 as Notification Number A. 82 and intituled the Hong Kong Air Navigation (Landing and Housing Fees) Regulations 1955 (hereinafter referred to in this section as the 1955 regulations) shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed for all purposes to have had the full force and effect of law from the 1st day of September 1955 to the 31st day of March 1960 and, for the purposes of section 10 of the Interpretation Ordinance, to have then been revoked.

(2) The regulations published in the Gazerre dated the 12th day of July 1957 as Notification Number A.56 and intituled the Hong Kong

Air Navigation (Landing and Housing Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 1957 (hereinafter referred to as the 1957 regulations) shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed for all purposes to have had the full force and effect of law from the 1st day of August 1957 and, accordingly, paragraph (10) of regulation 3 and paragraph (8) of regulation 5 of the 1955 regulations shall, with effect from the said 1st day of August 1957 be deemed to have had effect as amended by the 1957 regulations.

(3) Without limiting or derogating from the provisions of sub- section (1) or (2), every act and thing which purported to be done, or suffered or omitted to be done, under and pursuant to the provisions of the 1955 regulations and which would have been validly done, or validly suffered or omitted to be done, if the 1955 regulations had been law at the time are hereby validated.

(4) Any word or expression in the 1955 regulations to which a meaning was assigned by the Colonial Air Navigation Order 1955 shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed to bave had the meaning so assigned thereto.

5. (1) The regulations published in the Gazette dated the 26th Validation day of February 1960 as Notification Number A.12 and intituled the of 1960

regulations. Hong Kong Air Navigation (Airport Fees) Regulations 1960 (berein- after referred to as the 1960 regulations) shall by virtue of this Ordin- ance be deemed for all purposes to have had the full force and effect of law from the 1st day of April 1960 or, in the case of regulation 7 of those regulations, the 1st day of May 1960 to the 9th day of April 1964 and, for the purposes of section 10 of the lnterpretation Ordin- ance, to have then been revoked.

(2) Without limiting or derogating from the provisions of sub- section (1), every act and thing which purported to be done, or suffered or omitted to be done, under and pursuant to the provisions of the 1960 regulations and which would have been validly done, or validly suffered or omitted to have been done, if the 1960 regulations had been law at the time are hereby validated.

(3) Any word or expression in the said regulations to which a meaning was assigned by the Colonial Air Navigation Order 1955 shall by virtue of this Ordinance be deemed to have had the meaning so assigned thereto.
