4. Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is repealed and replaced by the following--

5.
Every person appointed to the force, other than a police officer seconded to the force, shall, on first appoint- ment and before entering on the duties of his office, make before a magistrate or a justice of the peace an oath or declaration in the form prescribed in the Second Schedule.”.

Section 11 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the dele
tion of the commas and words “, other than a non-commissioned officer who is appointed on secondment from the Police Force,".-

Section 34 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the dele- tion of the words "those inspectors of the Force and any non-commis- sioned officers who" and the substitution therefor of the following--
"the inspectors of the Force where such officers”.

BB it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and
consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Streets (Alteration) (Amend- Short tide. ment) Ordinance 1965.
2. Section 3 of the Streets (Alteration) Ordinance is amended by Amendment the deletion of the words "in Council".
