(a) sation 4 of the Hong Kong and Yaumati Perry Company

(Services) Ordinance, 1951, (hereinafter referred to as the Ordinance) provides that the ferry services authorized by the Ordinance shall be maintained and operated upon the terms and conditions specified in the Schedule thereto; (b) section 5 of the Ordinance provides that the Schedule

thereto may be varied at any time, with the consent of the Company, by resolution of the Legislative Council;

(e)

(a)

it is now desired that the Schedule to the Ordinance be varied to provide for the operation by the Company of one additional, ferry service, namely, a service betwden Filmor Street Fiar, Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan on the shores of Lamma Island;

the Company has consented to the amendment of the Schedule to provide for such service;

Now, therefore, be it rasolved, with the consent of the Company,

that the Schedule to the Ordinance be amended

(a) in Appendix I

(b)

(i) by the insertion under the heading "Perry Runs" after

item (r), of the following

"(a) Tilmer Street Pier Yung Shue Wan Sok Kwa "an"; and

(11) by the insertion under the heading "Ferry Points and

Frontages" after "Tap Mun", of the following -Pong Shoe an

(1) I refer to the recent press report of a question asked in the House of Commons regarding restrictivo requirements of the Government of India for visaa by Commonwealth citizens of Chinese origin in transit through India. The plain fact is that one manber of The Commonwealth has deliberatoly instituted discriminatory regulations against a certain section of citizens of the Commonwealth which directly affect Hong Kong. Has Government taken any reciproca), measures in this matter? If not, will Government introduce counter measures as a matter of urgency?

(11) Will Hong Kong Government request the U.K. Government

to lay before the forthcoming Commonwealth Prima Ministers' meeting the fact of such unilateral and discriminatory measures having been instituted by the Indian Government against a section of citlkens of the Commonwealth?

(2) Hr. 7.0.0. Knowles, pursuant to notice, will ask the following
