An Ordinance to amend the Tenancy (Prolonged Duration) Ordinance.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Tenancy (Prolonged Short title. Duration) (Amendment) Ordinance. 1963.
2. Section 3 of the Tenancy (Prolonged Duration) Ordinance, Amendment 1952, is amended by the deletion of subsection (1) and the substitution of section 3. therefor of the following—
(8 of 1932).
"(1) Subject as bereinafter provided if and so long as this Ordinance applies to any tenancy and the tenant pays the rent reserved by the tenancy and performs any covenants express or implied applicable to such teaancy any notice to quit given by the landlord prior, in the case of a tenancy commencing before the Ist day of July, 1963, to the expiration of a period of three years, or.
