REGISTRATION OF PERSONS (CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION AND IDENTITY CARDS) ORDER, 1963.

In exercise of the powers conferred by provisos (vi) and (vii) to section 10 of the Registration of Persons Ordinance, 1960, the Governor bas made the following Order-

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Persons Citation. Cancellation of Registration and Identity Cards) Order, 1963.

2. Any person affected by the Order specified in the Schedule Cancella- shall, with effect from the 16th September, 1963, cease to be deemed og of

registration o be registered under the provisions of the Registration of Persons and identity Ordinance, 1960 and any identity card held by such person shall with cards in effect from such date cease to be deemed to have been issued under certain cases. (IB # 1960), the provisions of that Ordinance.

Explanatory Note,

(This Note is not part of the Order, but is intended to indicate its" general purport).

This Order affects only those persons who were in possession of old identity ards issued under the Registration of Persons Ordinance, Chapter 177, repealed hy the Registration of Persons Ordinance, 1960, in the following series-

238,001 to 243,000

and who have failed by the 16th September, 1963, to have re-registered in templiance with the appropriate Order specified in the Schedule. The effecr of this Onter will be to render any old identity card in possession of any such person invalid and to cause him to become an unregistered person with effect from the said dale.
