HAWKER (NEW TERRITORIES) REGULATIONS, 1963.

lo exercise of the powers conferred by section 83 of the Public Health and Urban Services Ordinance, 1960, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

"Director" means the Director of Urban Services;

"bawker bazaar" means an area of ground demarcated by the Director

and allocated by him for the use of hawkers;

"market area" means the area declared by the Governor under sub- section (2) of section 79 of the Ordinance to be the area served by a market;

"open food" means—

(a) uncooked perishable food; and

(8) food that is not contained in a container of such materials, and

so closed, as to exclude all risk of contamination,

but does not include raw vegetables and uncut fruit or any food that has to be subjected to a process of milling, refining or cooking
