In exercise of the powers conferred by section 17A of the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1953, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-
1. These regulations constitute Table 18 of the Ordinance and Citation. may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Crew Accommodation) Regula- Dons, 1961.

"sanitary accommodation" means washing accommodation and accom-
modation containing water closets or urinals;
"grey" means seamer and apprentices;
"duly qualified medical practitioner” means a registered medical practi-
tioner within the meaning of section 2 of the Medical Registration (25 of 1957). Ordinance, 1957, or such other person as the Director, after con-
sultation with the Director of Medical and Health Services, may approve;

the Nurses Registration Ordinance, 1961, or such other person as (27 of 1961).

"Passenger" and "passenger steamer" have the same meanings as in the
Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Act, 1949;
"petty officer" means the boatswain, carpenter, lamptrimmer, chief cook. donkeyman, engine room storekeeper, serang, esssab, No. 1 fireman or greaser:
