Explanatory Note,

(This Note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purpon).

The purpose of these regulations is to amend the Road Traffic (Dryin Licences) Regulations, 1956 (ibe principal regulations) to increase certain fe namely, the fee for a provisional licence from $20.00 to $40.00, the fee for an instructor's licence from $50.00 to $200,00 and the fee for a duplicate driving licence from $5.00 to $10.00. The opportunity has been taken to delete Part 1 and the Fifth Schedule to the regulations which relate to driving licences for the drivers of tricycles, jinrickshas and ardan-chairs, so that the drivers of these vehicles will no longer require to be liceased. In addition regulation 26, the effect of which is spent, has also been revoked,
