Offences.

(2) Any person leaving the Colony shall, if so required— (a) by the Immigration Officer for the Colony or any deputy im migration officer or any immigration control officer; or (b) by the Commissioner; or

(c) by a police officer not below the rank of sub-inspector, surrender his identity card to such officer.

(3) Any person who-

(a) has surrendered his identity card in accordance with the provi-

sions of paragraph (2); or

(6) has voluntarily surrendered his identity card to the Commis

sioner on his departure from the Colony.

(4) It shall be lawful for the Commissioner to destroy any identity card which has been surrendered in accordance with the provisions of paragraph (2), or voluntarily.

18. (1) Any person who-

(a) has, whether before or after the commencement of the Ordio- ance, submitted particulars to the Commissioner whether in respect of himself or some other person, or on whose behalf particulars have been so submitted, which, at any time, are or have become incorrect; or

(6) has in bis possession an identity card which shows particulars which differ from those previously submitted to the Commis sioner.

(2) If by so reporting alteration of the identity card to which the report relates becomes necessary, the person reporting shall, at the same time, surrender such card to a registration officer and the surrender shall be deemed to be a request made under regulation 14, and the Commis. sioner is empowered to act according to the provisions thereof.

19. (1) Any person who-

(a) being a person liable to registration under these regulations, fails to register within the time prescribed in paragraphs (1) and (2) of regulation 3; or

(b) in furnishing particulars required under regulation 4 or when

making a report in accordance with the provisions of regula tion 18 makes any statement or gives any information which is false or incorrect in any material particular; or

+

(c) obtains or has possesion of more than one identity card, other- wise than as required by paragraph (3) of regulation 3, paragraph (2) of regulation 4 and paragraph (b) of regulation 10, unless he can satisfy the Commissioner that he obtained or had possession of such identity card innocently; or

(d) contravenes any provision of these regulations or of any order,

direction or requirement thereunder; or

(c) being the person responsible to ensure that the members of his family comply with the provisions of paragraph (2) of regula- tion 4 conduces to (by neglect or otherwise) the commission of an offence by any such person; or

(f) aids or abets the commission of an offence; or

(g) knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that another person is guilty of an offence. gives that other person any assistance with intent thereby to prevent, hinder or interfere with the apprehension, trial or punishment of that person; or (4) forges any document provision for which is made in these

regulations.
