(2) The accounts of the Fund and the signed state, ment of the accounts shall be audited by the Director of Audit, who shall certify the statement subject to such report, if any, as he may think fit.

(3) A copy of the signed and audited statement of accounts together with the Director of Audit's report, if any, and a report by the Commissioner on the adminiṣra- || tion of the Fund during the period covered by the audited accounts shall be laid on the Table of the Legislative Council not later than the 30th day of September next|| following the end of such period or so soon thereafter as the Governor, in his absolute discretion, may allow.”.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10 of the Registra- tion of Persons Ordinance, 1960, the Governor has aude the following Onder-

1. This Order may be cited as the Registration of Persons Citation. (Re-registration) (No. 4) Order, 1960.

Explanatory Note.

to indicate their general purport).

The purpose of these regulations is to amend the Police (Welfare Food; Regulations, 1953 in order to standardize, as far as may be, with those o other similar funds the provisions relating to the preparation, auditing, mod submission of the annual statement of accounts,

2. The detailed requirements of the existing regulation 9 are not 100 sidered necessary and are unusual. The last sentence of regulation 10 a. absorbed in the substance of the new regulation 11 which replaces the existing regulations 11 and 12 in a modified form.

Opportunity has been taken to replace regulation 3 relating to invest ment of surplus funds by a new regulation" designed to enable such funds to be invested or placed on deposit account in the Colony as an alternative U investment in the United Kingdom through the Crown Agents for the Colonia.
