NURSES REGISTRATION ORDINANCE,
(Chapter 164),
NURSES Registration (Amendment) Regulations, 1959.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Nurses Registration Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations—
1. These regulations may be cited as the Nurses Registration Citation. Amendment) Regulations, 1959.
2. Regulation 12 of the Nurses Registration Regulations (herein- Rescission der referred to as the principal regulations) is rescinded and replaced and replace. by the following-

12. (1) No person shall be entitled to enter for the (Vol. X. preliminary examination until she has deposited with the Director of Medical and Health Services a certificate signed by the matron, medical superintendent or other responsible officer of the institution or institutions in which her training or instruction was given and carried out certifying that- (4) she bas completed, or is due to complete by the last day of the month in which the examination is to be held, one year of training in an approved training institution. Including a period of pre- liminary training of not less than eight weeks în a preliminary training school;
(b) she has attended a course of lectures in the subjects prescribed for the preliminary examina- tion in the syllabus of subjects for examination: and
(c) she has undergone practical instruction in the wards in the subjects prescribed for the pre- liminary examination in the syllabus of subjects for examination.
(2) No person who has failed three times to pass the preliminary examination may again enter for such examination.
(3) No person shall be entitled to enter for any final examination until she has-
(a) attained the age of twenty-one years;
(b) passed the preliminary examination; and
