(a)
Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
in subsection (5) by the insertion immediately after the words "in Part 11" of the following-
"or Part III"; and
(5) by the addition after subsection (10) of the following new
subsection-
(Cap. 149)
"(11)_No_practice firing of explosive mine- sweeps under the provisions of this Ordinance shall take place-
(a) on any day which is a general holiday by virtue of the Holidays Ordinance other than a Sunday; or
(6) between half an hour before sunset and half
an hour after sunrise,”.

An Ordinance to amend the Road Traffic Ordinance, 1957.
Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and
consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Road Traffic (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance, 1959.
2. Section 2 of the Road Traffic Ordinance, 1957 (hereinafter Amendment referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended
(a) by the deletion of items (a) and (b) of subsection (2) and the
substitution therefor of the following-
"(a) goods vehicles;":
(b) by the deletion in items (d) and (e) of subsection (2) of the words "public cars" and the substitution therefor of the following-
"hire cars":
(c) by the deletion in subsection (2) of the semi-colon at the end
of item (f) and the addition thereto of the following
"or for a recognized and predetermined purpose;";
of section 3,
(9 of 1957).
