An Ordinance to amend the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force

Ordinance, 1959.

[4th September, 1959.]

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Hong Kong Auxiliary Short title. Police Force (Amendment) Ordinance, 1959.

Section 6 of the Hong Kong Auxiliary Police Force Ordinance. Amendratat 1959, is amended by the deletion of subsection (1) and the substitution of section 6. therefor of the fallowing→→→

"(1) The Governor, on the recommendation of the Commis- sioner, may grant bonorary membership of the Force, with bonorary rank equivalent to the substantive rank held at the date of retire. ment, to--

(a) any member who holds the rank of auxiliary super- intendent of police or above, on retirement from the Force; and
