Official PROSECUTIONS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1958.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section Ig of the Merchandise Marks Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations--
1. These regulations may be cited as the Official Prosecu- Citation. tions (Amendment) Regulations, 1958.
2. Regulation 4 of the Official Prosecutions Regulations Amendment (bereinafter referred to as the principal regulations) is amended
of regula- tion 4. by the deletion of the full stop at the end thereof and the sub (Vol. VIIL, stitution therefor of the following-

"and any documents, wrappings, packing material or other thing relating to, or providing evidence as to the existence or whereabouts of, any such suspected goods.".
3. The principal regulations are amended by the addition Addition after regulation 6 of the following new regulations-
"BA. (1) In the case of any proceedings instituted under these regulations, except as other. wise herein provided, no information laid shall be admitted in evidence and no witness shall be obliged or permitted to disclose the name or address of any informer or state any matter which might lead to his discovery, and if any books, documents or papers which are in evidence or liable to inspection in any such proceedings whatsoever contain any entry in which any informer is named or described or which might lead to his discovery, the court or magistrate shall cause all such passages to be concealed from view or to be obliterated so far as may be necessary to protect the informer from discovery but no further:
