Section 14 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by the insertion after the figures "14" of the following-
"(T)" ;
(b) in paragraph (a) by the insertion after the words "United
Kingdom" of the following-

(c) by the addition after paragraph (g) of the following new
subsections-

(2) Paragraph (a) and sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph (c) of subsection (1) shall apply to a mark being, or purporting to be, a certi- fication trade mark registered or deemed to be registered under the provisions of the Trade Marks Ordinance, 1954, in the name, as pro- prietar thereof, of a person in the Colony in the same manner as they apply to the trade mark of a manufacturer, dealer or trader in the Colony.
(3) For the purposes of this section the word "foreign" means any place outside the Colony and the United Kingdom.".
Section 16 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) by the insertion after the figures "16" of the following...-

(b) by the addition of the following new subsection-

use to indicate a connexion in the course of trade between those goods and the proprictor of the trade mark; and
(b) the trade mark as applied is used to indicate a connexion in the course of trade between the goods and the person who is the proprietor of the trade mark or between the goods and a person who is registered under section $8 of the Trade Marks Ordinance, 1954, as a registered user of the trade mark; and
(c) the person who is the proprietor of the trade mark is the same person as, or a successor in title of, the proprietor on the 24th day of January, 1958.".
B. Subsection (1) of section 19 of the principal Ordinance Amendmout is amended by the deletion of the full stop at the end thereof of section and the substitution therefor of the following-
"and providing for the protection and payment of informers and matters relating to the seizure of any article or thing in connexion with any such prosecution.”.

"(2) Notwithstanding anything in definition "false trade description" and without prejudice to the provisions of section 14, no trade mark within the meaning of the Trade Marks Ordinance, 1954, or part of such a trade mark, shall be treated as a false trade description merely by reason that such description may be misteading in relation to any goods to which the trade mark is applied, if the following conditions are satisfied, that is to say-
(a) on the 24th day of January, 1958, the trade mark either is registered under the Trade Marks Ordinance, 1954, or is in
