(4) The statutes contained in the Schedule hereto shall be deemed to have been made under this Ordinance.
(5) The Interpretation Ordinance shall apply for the pur- poses of the interpretation of the statutes as it applies for the purposes of the interpretation of an Ordinance, and all expres- sions defined in this Ordinance shall bear the same meaning when used in the statutes, unless other provision is made in the statutes or a contrary intention otherwise appears.
16. All examinations held by the University shall be con- ducted in such manner as the statutes and any regulations made thereunder may prescribe :
Provided that for degree examinations for the final year and such other examinations for degrees as the Senate may from time to time recommend, at least one external and independent examiner shall be appointed for each subject or group of subjects forming part of the course of studies required, if practicable.

17. The University Ordinance is repealed:
Repeal. (Cap. 319),
Provided that the officers and auditors of the University appointed under the provisions of the Ordinance repealed by this section, who beld office immediately before the commencement of this Ordinance, shall be deemed to have been appointed and to hold office under the provisions of this Ordinance.
