CONSERVANCY (AMENDMENT) By-Laws, 1957-

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, the Urban Council has made the following by-laws-

1. These by-laws may be cited as the Conservancy Citation. (Amendment) By-laws, 1957, and shall come into operation on the mencement. 1st day of April, 1957.

2. Paragraph (4) of by-law 2 of the by-laws contained in Amendment

of by-law 2. Schedule A to the Public Health (Sanitation) Ordinance, 1935, under the heading "Conservancy", set forth on pages 188 to 191 of the annual volume of the Ordinances of Hong Kong for the year 1935, is amended--

(4) by the deletion of sub-paragraph (a) and the substitution

therefor of the following-

"{a} In districts where the Urban Council provides a departmental service for the collection of excretal matter from premises not fitted with waterclosets, the following fees shall be payable to Govern-

ment-

Domestic premises, per floor,

HK$60 per annum Schools registered under the Education Ordinance, 1952, per pan, HK$48 per annum Non-domestic premises, per pan, HK$72 per annum

Payable annually in advance on lat April:

Provided that in the case of schools where the conservancy fees amount to HK$200.00 or more per annun the same may, desired, be paid in quarterly instal- ments.";
