Section 47 la repealed. In section 17 the words "at the suit of the Accountant General in the District Court" are deleted and at the end of the said section the wards as a debt due to the Crown" are inserted. In section 29 all the words following the words "a debt due to the Crown" deleted.

In section 4(2) all the words following the words "the proprietor" are deleted and replaced by the words "as a debt due to the Crown".

In section 31, subsection (3) is repealed and replaced na followe

"(3) Any rates in default and any anm added thereto by virtue of subsection (2) shall be recoverable as a debt due to the Crown.". In section 2 the words "to B00 and be sued." are deleted.

In section 2 the words "and by that name shall and may sue and be sued in all courts in this Colony" are deleted. In section 4(1) the words ["may sue and be sued" are deleted and replaced by the words "shall be known".

WHEREAS by virtue of Article 3 of the Custodian Proclama- Preamble. tion, 1945, as amended by the Custodian (Amendment) Proclama» tion and as amended and perpetuated by the Law Amendment (Transitional Provisions) Ordinance, an officer was appointed to (Cap. 257). be Custodian of Property in the Colony of Hong Kong;

AND WHEREAS by virtue of Article 4 of the said Custodian Proclamation, amended as aforesaid, the Custodian of Property was empowered to take into his custody, supervision or control certain property, being---

(a) the property of any State, other than an Enemy State,

not otherwise properly safeguarded;
