LICENCE is hereby granted to *

(hereinafter called the licensee(s)) to hire out and supply labour, vessels and equipment for londing, discharging and moving dangerous goods un vessels.

This licence shall remain in force for twelve months from the date hereof unless previously cancelled under the provisions of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, 1956, but unless so cancelled may be renewed by the Director of Marine for further terms of twelve months.

3. This licence is not transferable.

4. This licence is subject to the provisions of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, 1956, and regulétions made thereunder, and further is subject to the following terms and conditions—

were set out in draft regulations which were summarized and explained in a report. These regulations fin conjunction with the Dangerous Goods (Classification) Regulations; 1956) implement the Committee's recommenda- tious in so far as they relate to shipping. It is intended that a further Bet of regulations dealing generally with the possession, storage, conveyance sod packing of dangerous goods will be introduced in the near future.

毖 Part I of these regulations deals with interpretation and claszi- fications of vessels. For the purpose of these regulations every vėsue! belongs to one of six types (types I to VI) according to the nuture and safety standards of the vessel, while tankers, petroleum lighters and case dit vessels belong also to a separate type (type VII).

q. Part II is divided into seven Sections, each Section relating axclusively to one of the seven types of vessel. In particolar, every type VII vessel (ie, a tanker, petroleum lighter or case oil vessel) being also a vessel of another type la governed by the regulations in the Section applicable to such other type în addition to those in Section G. The provisions in this Part are principally concerned with restrictions on the carriage. loading and discharging of dangerous goods and the safety precautions to be taken. For ease of reference, the penalties for contra- vention of the regulations in this Part are included in each Section to which they relate,

Part Ill contains provisions relating to the carriage, loading or discharging of dangerous goods og vessels in general, and prescribing the dangerous goody signals and port fire alarm signals required to be exhibited under the regulations.

5. Part IV provides for the form of and fees for licences required under section 6 of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, 1966, for hiring out and supplying labour, vessels and equipment, and for formas generally.
