DANGEROUS GOODS ORDINANCE, 1956.

DANGEROUS Goods (CLASSIFICATION) REGULATIONS, 1955.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Dangerous Goods Ordinance, 1956, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations

1. These regulations may be cited as the Dangerous Goods Citation. (Classification) Regulations, 1956.

2. In these regulations

"flash point" means the temperature on the Fahrenheit scale, as ascertained by methods prescribed under the Ordinance, at which an inflammable liquid gives off vapour which will take fire or explode if mixed with air and exposed momen- tarily to a naked light;

"in bulk" means in any container, tank or compartment having

a capacity of or exceeding one hundred gallons.

3. The substances and articles specified hereunder shall be Classifi dangerous goods to which the Ordinance applies, and for the cation of

dangerous purposes of any regulations made under the Ordinance any such goods. substance or article shall belong to the port class or group specified hereunder as appropriate to such substance or article.

CATEGORY 1.

EXPLOSIVES.

All explosives shall belong to port class E.

The substances and articles specified in the classifed list of Govern- mant exploalves contained in subsection B of section 1 of Part II of the Report of the Departmental Committee appointed by the Minister of Transport to consider the Existing Rules relating to the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Explosives in Ships, dated 13th November, 1951,
