In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Vehicle and Road Traffic Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations-

"articulated vehicle" means a motor vehicle with a trailer so attached to the drawing vehicle that part of the trailer is superimposed upon the drawing vehicle, and when the trailer is uniformly loaded not less than twenty per cent of the weight of its load is borne by the drawing vehicle:

"Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Police and any

person authorized in writing by him;

"direction indicator" means a device fitted to a motor vehicle for the purpose of intimating the intention of the driver to change the direction of the vehicle to the right or to the left;

"hand cart" means any wheeled vehicle constructed or adapted for the conveyance of any goods or burden in the course of husbandry, trade or business and pushed, pulled or drawn by hand;

"bours of darkness" means the time between sunset and sunrise

as laid down by the Government Observatory;
