Dogs and CATS (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1956.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Dogs and Cats Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the follow- ing regulations--
1. These regulations may be cited as the Dogs and Cats Citation. (Amendment) Regulations, 1956.
2. Regulation 20 of the Dogs and Cats Regulations is Revocation revoked and replaced by the following-

20. (1) The fee payable by the owner of any dog regulation or cat while in a quarantine station shall be in accor- (Vol. X. dance with such scale of fees as the Governor may by p. 260). notification in the Gazette prescribe.
(2) All fees incurred in respect of the detention of a dog or cat in a quarantine station shall be payable on demand, and in any case before its removal therefrom.
(3) The veterinary officer may destroy any dog or cat in respect of which the fees remain unpaid for a period of fifteen days after payment thereof has become due, without prejudice to the recovery from the owner of all fees and other sums due, or may sell such dog or cat and out of the proceeds of sale thereof defray the amount of such fees.".
