TRAMWAY Working (Amendment) RULES, 1956.
In exercise of the powers canferred by section 33 of the Tramway Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following rules-
1. These rules may be cited as the Tramway Working Citation (Amendment) Rules, 1956, and shall come into operation on the and come- 27th day of January, 1956.

(a) The driver or conductor of a car shall conform to the indications given by any traffic sign or signals lawfully erected for that purpose. Where the signals are indicated by lights-
(a) RED means STOP. Wait behind the stop line on
the carriageway.
(b) RED and AMBER also mean STOP. Do not go
until GREEN shows.
(e) GREEN means you may GO ON IF THE ROAD IS CLEAR. Take special care if you mean to turn right or left.
(2) AMBER means STOP at the stop line. You may go on if the AMBER appears after you have crossed The stop line or are so close to it that to pull up might cause an accident.
(e) GREEN ARROW means that you may GO IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ARROW. You may do this whatever other lights may be showing.".
