Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Magistrates Short title. (Coroners Powers) (Amendment) Ordinance, 1956.
replace-
2. Subsection (2) of section 7 of the Magistrates (Coroners Repeal and Powers) Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as the principal renter Ordinance) is repealed and replaced by the following-
"(2) Whenever-
(u) any person dies whilst in police custody; or (b) any prisoner dies in prison,

(2) of Beetion 7.
