Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Dangerous Goods Short title. Ordinance, 1956.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context otherwise requires- Interpreta- "carrier" includes all persons carrying goods or passengers for
hire by land or water;
"dangerous goods" means any of the goods or substances to which
this Ordinance applies under section 3:
"explosive" includes any substance used or manufactured with a view to producing a practical effect by explosion or a pyro- technic effect;
