B. Section 1 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion from subsection (1) of the word "one" and the sub- stitution therefor of the following-

"two".
Section 15 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion of the word "Council" in the second place where it occurs and from the marginal note thereto, and the substitution therefor in each case of the following-
"Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry",
10. All by-laws made under the principal Ordinance and in be regula force on the coming into operation of this Ordinance shall have effect as if they were regulations made under the principal Ordinance as amended by this Ordinance, and may be rescinded, suspended, amended or added to by such regulations.

An Ordinance to amend the Dogs and Cats Ordinance, Chapter
167.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows-
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Dogs and Cats Short title. (Amendment) Ordinance, 1956.
2. Section 2 of the Dogs and Cats Ordinance (hereinafter Amendment referred to as the principal Ordinance) is amended by-
(a) the insertion therein after the definition of "cat" of the
following definition—
**Director" means the Director of Agriculture,
Fisheries and Forestry;";
