(b) by the deletion of paragraphs (b) and (c) and the sub-

stitution therefor of the following-

1.

"(b) in respect of cholera-

(i) if there has been a case of cholera on board at the time of departure or during the voyage, but no fresh case during the five days previous to arrival;

(ii) if a case of cholera has occurred on board an aircraft during the voyage but the case has previously been disembarked;

(c) in respect of yellow fever-

(i) if having had no case of yellow fever on board it arrives after a voyage of less than six days from an infected port or from a yellow fever endemic zone or there is reason to believe that it may carry Aedes aegypti from any such port;

(ii) if arriving within thirty days of leaving an infected port or a yellow fever endemic zone a health officer finds Aedes aegypti on board."

Section 3 of the principal Ordinance is amended- (0) by the deletion of the word "twelve" and the substitution

therefor of the following-

"fourteen";

(b) by the deletion of the word "and" and the substitution

therefor of a comma;

(c) by the deletion at the end thereof of the fullstop and the

substitution therefor of the following-

", and eight days in the case of relapsing fever," Subsection (4) of section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended by the deletion of the word "two" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"four"'.

Section 8 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by the deletion from paragraph (0) of subsection (2) of the words "five hundred" and the substitution therefor of the following-

"two thousand";

(b) by the insertion in paragraph (f) of subsection (3) after

the words "vaccination of" of the following-

"persons"; and

(c) by the insertion in paragraph (1) of subsection (3) after

the word "disinfection" of the following-

"and disinsecting".

10. The principal Ordinance is amended by the insertion Addition after section 15 of the following new sections-

Limitation

15A. Where on any occasion it appears to the and 152. 158. (1) Where either—

(a) any vehicle or vessel is requisitioned under

section 15A; or

(b) any article is destroyed under the provisions of this Ordinance for the purpose of prevent- ing the spread of an infectious disease, the Director of Medical and Health Services may order that compensation be paid.

(a) Any dispute as to the amount of compensation shall, in default of agreement, be determined by arbitration in accordance with the provisions of Order XXV of the Code of Civil Procedure.

160. No matter or thing done by any health of liabüity. officer or by any public officer acting under his direction shall, if it were done bond fide for the purpose of executing this Ordinance, subject him or such public officer personally to any action, liability. claim or demand whatsoever;

Provided that nothing herein contained shall exempt any person from any proceeding by way of mandamus, injunction, prohibition or other order,"
