(6) Any candidate who sits or votes in any body to which he has been elected after the expiry of the period of twenty-eight days mentioned in subsection (1) and without having sent to the secretary such return and declaration shall be liable to a fine of five bundred dollars for every day after such expiry in which he sits or votes in such body without having sent to the secretary such return and declaration.
(7) The return and declaration sent in pursuance of this Ordinance to the secretary shall be kept at his office, and shall, at all reasonable times during the twelve months next after they are received by him, be open to inspection by any person on payment of the fee of one dollar, and the secretary shall, on demand, furnish copies thereof or of any part thereof at the price of fifty cents for every seventy-two words,
(8) After the expiration of the said twelve months the secretary may cause the return and declaration to be destroyed, or if the candidate so require shall return the same to him.

And I further solemnly and sincerely declare that I will not at any future time make or be a party to the making or giving of any payment, reward, office, employment, or valuable consideration for the purpose of defraying any such expenses as last mentioned, or provide or be a party to the providing at any money, security, or equivalent for money for the purpose of defraying any such expense.
