PROCLAMATION

Governor.
Excellency SI ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, Knight Grand Cross of The Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.
WHEREAS by section it of the Asiatic Emigration (Amend- ment) Ordinance, 1953, it is provided that the said Ordinance shall not come into operation until Her Majesty's confirmation of the same has been proclaimed in the Colony by the Governor, and that thereafter it shall come into operation upon such day as the Governor shall, by the same or any other Proclamation, appoint:
NOW, THEREFORE, 1, ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, đo hereby PROCLAIM that it is Her Majesty's pleasure to confirm the said Ordinance and not to disallow the same, and that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1954.
