By His Excellency Sir ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE
HERDER GRANTHAM, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dia-
tinguished Order of Saint Micheel and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Song
Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same,
WHEREAS by section 11 of the Asiatic Emigration
(Amendment) Ordinance, 1953, it is provided that the seid
Ordinance shall not come into operation until Her Majesty's
confirmation of the same has been' proclaimed in the Colony
by the Governor, and that thereafter it shall come into
operation upon such day as the Governor shall, by the same
or any other Proclamation, appoint:
NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE. MERDER
GRANTHAM, do hereby FROCLAIM that it is Her Majesty's
pleasure to confirm the said Ordinance and not to disallow
the same, and that the said Ordinance shall come into
operation on the 1st day or June, 1954.
