EXCELLENCY SIR ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same.
WHEREAS by section I of the Housing Ordinance, 1954 (No. 18 of 1954), it is provided that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by the Governor by proclamation in the Gazette :
NOW THEREFORE, I, ALEXANDER WILLIAM GEORGE HERDER GRANTHAM, do hereby PROCLAIM that the said Ordinance shall come into operation on the 7th day of May, 1954.
