GOVERNMENT BUSESS.

1952.

(1) Gift to Her Majesty's Government as a contribution to the cost of

reinforcing the marrison.

The Financial Secretary to move the following resolution :-

RESOLVED that,

in view of the heavy expenditure being incurred by Her Majesty's

Government in the United Kingdom on the defence of the free world and on the reinforcement of the garrison of this Colony, this Council de approve the gift to Her Majesty's Government from the general revenues of the Colony of the sum of eight millica dollars, over and above the sum of airteen million dollers already approved in the Datimates for the current financial year as a contribution to the cost of reinforcing the said garrison,

(2) The "District Court Ordinance, 1952′′ Bill.

The Attorney General to move the first reading of ¦-

A Bill intituled: "un Ordinance to establish a new court, having

limited civil and criminal jurisdiction, to be known as the Dis- trict Court of Hong Kong, and to make provision for the jurisdio- tion, procedure and practice thereof and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid."

(3) The "Magistrates (Amendment) Ordinance, 1952" Bill.

The Attorney General to move the First reading of 1-

À Bill intituled: "An Ordinance to amend the Magistrates Ordinance,

Chapter 227."

(4) The "Supplementary Appropriation (1951-52) Ordinanca, 1952" Bill.

The Financial Secretary to move the First reading of :-

A Bili intituled: "An Ordinance to authorise a supplementary appro- priation to defray the charges of the financial year ended the 31st day of March, 1952,"

(5) The "Undesirable Medical Advertisements Ordinance, 1952′′ Bill-

The Director of Medical and Health Services to move the First reading

at :-

A Bill intituled: "in Ordinonce to restrict certain advertisements

relating to medical matters."
