(4) Resolution regarding Abandonment of Claius and Write-offs of losses
and deficiencies for the Financial Year 1952–53.
The Financial Secretary to move the following resolution :-
Resolved that the abandonment of claims and write-offs of losses
and deficiencies as specified and explained in Schedule No. 2 of 1952–53, be approved.

Resolved pursuant to section 4 of the. Dutiable Commoditi es
Ordinance (Chapter 109) as follows
That the DUTIES ON HYDROCARBON OILS set forth in the Regolution
or the Legislative Council published as Government Notification No. 181 of 1941 and reproduced in Volume IX at p.276 of the Revised Edition, 1950, be revoked with affcat fra 8 a., on 4th December, 1952, and that thoreafter duty shall be payabla on hydrocarbon oila at the following rates
(a) light oils :
(b) heavy oils :
(1) diesel oil for road
vehicles
(ii) other diesel cil
(iii) furnace oll
(iv) other heavy oils not
specified above
(6) The "Jury (Amendment) Ordinance, 1952" Bill.
