IMMIGRANTS CONTROL ORDINANCE.
(Chapter 243).
REGULATIONS BY THE GOVERNOR IN Council,
In exercise of the power conferred by section 35 of the Immigrants Control Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the following regulations---
1. These regulations may be cited as the Immigrants Control Citation. (Amendment) Regulations, 1952, and shall be read as one with the (Vol. XI, Immigrant Control Regulations.
p. 168).
2. The Fourth Schedule to the principal regulations is Amendment
to the hereby amended-

(a) by the deletion of the figures "to" opposite the item of the
"Passport (valid for 5 years)" thereof and the substitu- principal tion therefor of the figures "15";
regulations.
(b) by the deletion of the item-
"Endorsement of Passport, otherwise than at the time of issue or renewal

Explanatory Note.
(This note is not part of the regulations, but is intended to indicate their general purport).
The effect of these regulations is to increase the fee for the jeene in Hong Kong of a new passport from $10 to $16 and to abolish the fee of $4.00 for making an endorsement on a passport.
Similar amendments have recently been made in the relevant United Kingdom legislation.
