FERRIES ORDINANCE. (Chapter 104).

REGULATIONS MADE BY THE Governor in Council.

In exercise of the power conferred by section 5 of the Ferries Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the follow- ing regulations———

1. These regulations may be cited as the Excluded Ferries Citation. Regulations, 1952.

2. The ferry named hereunder is excluded from the opera- Ferry tion of the Ordinance, so long as-

excluded

(a) no exclusive and conflicting licence is granted under the operation

Ordinance;

(b) the number of vessels serving the ferry run is adequate to maintain a service and schedule approved by the Director of "Marine, hereinafter called the Director;

(c) all directions which may be given by the Director in respect of ferry points or piers and their use and main- tenance are complied with;

(d) only vessels licensed and approved for the purpose by the

Director are employed; and

(e) the fares and charges at any time taken and made are

approved by the Director:

Provided that notwithstanding the above prescribed conditions, the period of exclusion shall not exceed one year from the date on which the ferry commences to run and shall be subject to can- cellation during that year on one month's notice.

Excluded Ferry.

The ferry of Chung Chai Sbi between Tai Po and Sham Chung calling at Ma On Shan and Nai Chung and between Lok Lo Ha and Wó Sba calling at Ma On Shan.
