(3) By-laws made under subsection (2) may declare a breach of any such by-law to be an offence and may prescribe penalties therefor: Provided that no penalty so prescribed shall exceed a fine of one thousand dollars.
49. The Telephone Ordinance, 1925, the Telephone Amend- ment Ordinance, 1930, the Telephone Amendment Ordinance, 1933, the Telephone Amendment Ordinance, 1935, and the Telephone Amendment Ordinance, 1940, are hereby repealed.
50. Nothing in this Ordinance shall affect or be deemed to affect the rights of His Majesty the King His Heirs and Successors, or of any bodies politic or corporate, or other persons except such as are mentioned in this Ordinance and those claim. ing by, from or under them.
